WHY IS OUTA TARGETING MANTSHA?

As soon as Dan Mantsha was appointed as chairman of the state-owned defence industry Denel, he took favours from the Guptas and joined them in trying to set up a business deal that would give them access to Denel’s business. His relationship with the Guptas was unethical, irregular and illegal.

WHAT IS OUTA DOING?

OUTA has laid charges of corruption against Mantsha at the Brooklyn police station on 30 August 2017. OUTA will follow this up to encourage prosecution.

WHY IS THIS CORRUPTION?

Mantsha abused his position as Denel chairman to benefit the Guptas. He handed over confidential state information to give them a competitive advantage and, while serving as Denel chairman, took favours from them like free trips to India and Dubai and asked for his outstanding municipal bill to be paid.
