ACTION AGAINST THE PUBLIC PROTECTOR - AT LAST!

OUTA’s consistent hard work (since 2019) to ensure an inquiry into the conduct and competence of the current Public Protector, Busisiwe Mkhwebane, as well as the perjury charges we filed against her in 2019, certainly helped to make March a difficult month for Mkhwebane.

Not only did the National Assembly vote for an inquiry into her misconduct and incompetence, but she also appeared in court again on charges of perjury. Read more here about OUTA’s petition to Parliament in June 2019, and our perjury charges and report to the Hawks in August 2019.
